When there is cross-country ski training taking place in the wintertime it is prohibited to land with skis or crampons, by municipal decree. Other municipal decrees sometimes prohibit landing for the benefit of sporting or cultural events which use the Bois du Bouchet area for events like msuic festivals or cultural exhibitions - like cow fighting.

By car from Chamonix. At the Mont-Blanc roundabout head away from Chamonix toward Argentière. The landing is 500 m on your left after the running track and sports center (north of the city center). If you're taking public transport “Les Mouilles” is the bus stop. Unfortunately there is no bus service to the take off lift at Brévent (approx. 15 min walk) but negotiations are underway to add a stop at Brevent so you can land then easily go fly again. You can walk for about 10 mins to take the bus from the Clos du Savoy bus stop (that's the tandem landing field behind the Folie Douce Hotel). The bus stop is at the north end of the landing next to Hotel Sapiniere.

Landing lined with trees. The terrain is large but it is advisable to approach it while remaining upwind of the trees, particularly those which line the small access road to the gravel pit. The valley breeze is generally strong in the afternoon (between 20 and 30 km/h). Left hand P.T.U. installation recommended.
Please note that the lake located in front of the Spa, on the Chamonix side of the grounds, is rarely frozen enough in winter to support the weight of a human being
Supervised beginner to experienced pilot.
All day. Watch out for the strengthening of the valley breeze in the early afternoon.
